Sakaja says will be on ballot come what may despite degree’s revocation

Nairobi City County senator Johanson Sakaja has launched a scathing attack to state house machineries led by President Uhuru Kenyatta alleging that they are hell bent to stop him from becoming Nairobi’s next governor 

In a long statement posted in his Facebook page immediately after, Commission for University Education revoked his degree certificate, Sakaja boldly accused powerful individuals in frustrating his quest for Nairobi’s top seat

Mr Sakaja threatens that he will be on ballot come what may on August 9th General Election and assured Nairobi’s voters to remain vigilant awaiting him to bring sanity and order in the city

“The purported revocation of my credentials by the Commission for University Education is null and void,  politically instigated, 

The Chairman Prof Chacha Nyaigoitti Chacha, has been coerced and intimidated by President Uhuru Kenyatta to illegally revoke recognition of accreditation that has been properly issued,” Part of the post read. 

According to Sakaja is that the commission did not call for board meeting to discuss the revocation of his academic credentials and that the Chairman issued the said revocation letter under duress against the set criteria by the board of universities’ senate

He further alluded that on 6th June, wrote a letter to CUE whom in return conducted due diligence to Ugandan National Council of Higher Education to ascertain whether Team University was duly accredited as a higher learning institution

“The Commission confirmed the authenticity of qualification from Team University through the National Council for Higher Education thus recognised my qualifications,” He confident

Sakaja has also revealed in his post that, a day earlier the CUE Chief Executive Officer replied to an inquiry by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission affirming the authenticity of his credentials that he was, is qualified for Nairobi governorship seat
