President William Ruto on Tuesday 9th July, assured the country that the journey for inclusive government is on the doorstep following GenZs countrywide demonstrations that has caused jitters in ruling class
Speaking immediately after signing into law the IEBC bill which will have nine commissioners from the current seven, Ruto said that he’s ready to meet 150 members, 100 from all political class, academician, professionals and 50 from the youths who are agitating for change
He said that will be ready to engage all stakeholders starting from Monday 15th July, to listen and implement the changes people have about his government
However, Wiper Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa faulted the national dialogue that Ruto is calling for and instead distanced themselves
Azimio leader Raila Odinga had okayed the national dialogue arguing that it will decrease the pressure from the aggrieved members of the public
The move, according to President, will see the inclusion of members from the Azimio coalition, aiming to foster a government of unity.
This strategic decision is anticipated to promote political stability and cooperation across party lines.
