President William Ruto today launched 5360 housing units stamping government’s commitments in the provision of quality and affordable residential houses
Speaking at Mavoko on Wednesday 7th December, Ruto told Ukambani leaders that politics are bygones and his government will serve all Kenyans regardless of where they voted during the August polls
Ruto also said that by the end of January 2023, there will be cheap fertilizer that will make it affordable for food prices-noting that his predecessors had made it impossible for farmers to purchase fertilizers, hence raising agricultural cost of production
Accompanied by Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti and other Ukambani leaders, they noted working with the national government to uplift lives of the people
Machakos County Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi, also lauded President’s commitments in serving all Kenyans irrespective of their political affiliations
“Housing and urban development are key inputs in social economic development as they contribute broadly in achieving social economic development goals. Housing is therefore a valuable and major economic driver in Kenya and the World at large.
I am glad to have joined H.E the president today, during ground breaking of affordable housing project in Mavoko, Machakos County,’’ Former Yatta MP posted.
He held that the launch of 5360 housing units earlier today by H.E the president was a true manifestation of the government’s commitment in the provision of quality, safe and secure living spaces at affordable prices across the country.
The plan also presents opportunities for economic empowerment and wealth generation to address the social economic challenges we face as a nation.
“As a County Government, we will continue to work with the National Government in different sectors to deliver our promise to the people of Machakos,’’ He added.
Also present was Lands and Housing CS Zakariah Njeru, Machakos Governor Hon. Wavinya Ndeti, Kitui Governor Julius Malombe, Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu, and Mavoko MP Hon. Patrick Makau, among other key leaders and dignitaries.
