Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga is yet to cast his vote after the voters demanded him to address the nation from Old Kibera primary school in Nairobi.
Odinga arrived at polling station some minutes before 8am but the mammoth crowd from Kibra blocked his motorcade cheering him as the President- this forced him stop casting his vote and address them
His counterpart Roots Party presidential candidate Prof. George Wajackoyah was not able to cast his vote at Matungu in Kakamega County after the IEBC KIEMS kit failed.
Prof. Wajackoyah turned up at the Indangalasia Primary School at around a quarter past 10 am.
No one in the polling station had cast their vote yet at the time.
“We are waiting to see what happens, like they have said. They said they would give us another 11 hours and asked us to be patient,” he told voters outside the polling station.
Deputy President William Ruto made his vote at 6 am at Kosacheni Primary School at Uasin Gishu accompanied by his wife Racheal Ruto
The presidential race has attracted four contenders: Prof. Wajackoyah, David Mwaure of the Agano Party, Deputy President William Ruto of Kenya Kwanza, and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition’s Raila Odinga.
Polling stations opened at 6am across the country and DP Ruto and Mr. Mwaure were among the early voters.
Mr Mwaure casted his vote at Upper Hill Secondary school at around 7:15 accompanied by his wife Ann Mwaure
