Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s allied Members of Parliament have issued a strong statement advising President William Ruto to give them the list of MPs he wants them arrested, they will honour and appear before the courts
While speaking at Parliament buildings on Thursday 20st February, led by Kiambu Senator Karungu Thang’wa told President to respect the people of Mt Kenya even if they don’t subscribe to his ideologies
“I wonder why MPs who has bodyguard can be arrested instead of being called to write a statement and appear before the court. Bwana President, give us the schedule of those you are targeting to arrest we shall present ourselves because no amount of intimidation will scare us,” Thang’wa charged

Nyandarua Senator John Methu further, stated that they’re ready to be given the list of members of parliament targeted for arrest to appear before the courts
“Juja MP was arrested on claims of asking your government how much you spend campaigning for Raila Odinga and instead of answering you brought other charges dating 1994!
For accountable and transparency government doesn’t humiliate the people who helped it to get power instead treats them with utmost restraint,” Methu stated
Methu sought to why the Kenya Kwanza Administration had dewhiped all members of parliament allied to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua from chairmanship of both senate and national assembly committees without replacing them with loyalists from the same region
“There are sycophants from central region who are supporting your ideologies, why don’t you give them these positions even if you don’t want those behind Gachagua? He sought.
Methu stated that, they are very much perturbed on how all their leadership positions from parliament have been given Raila Odinga led party ODM members, some of whom he described as non-starters
Long serving Naivasha legislator Jane Kihara backed their sentiments adding that they are ready to make sure their son, Riggy G, is respected no matter the blood they will shed on ground.
“We thought that this government is for pro-people, little did we know we shall be treated like a garbage,” Kihara wondered
Her comments were supported by Kipipiri legislator Wanjiku Muhia who was the chairperson of EAC and integration committee, requesting also to be given the date with DCI and court
They unanimously, faulted government for bringing other charges to Juja MP George Koimburi who was arrested, taken to court and released on a cash bail of Sh 200,000 after prosecution tabled seven charges of forgery, which were all dropped to one
