Members of Parliament from West Pokot have demanded the government to compensate four people who were believed to be killed by Kenya Defence Forces
Addressing journalists at Parliament Buildings on Tuesday 28th November, the MPs led by Pokot South David Pkosing demanded the arrest of security personnel who perpetrated the heinous act
“Our people have been killed by Turkana bandits mercilessly, whenever we tell the Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki to address the issues, it seems he’s reluctant,” Pkosing stated
He added that national government should clear bills for the twenty people who are already in hospital of gun shots

He blaimed government for failing to address insecurity menace where four people have been bombed in pokot by unknown people believed to be military personnel.

The propaganda of saying pokots have many guns should stop,” Mororo stated
West Pokot County MP Rael Kasiwai noted that it’s so sad that security personnel have turned to become their enemies
“We need protection from our own government. We have told Kindiki and Duale but it seems our voices goes to deaf ears
What have we done to live in pokot because nobody is killed in turkana and marakwet,” she wondered
Kachaliba MP Titus Lotee blaimed National Police Reservists from Turkana county for terrorising pokots
“We called for interventions but the whole night there were nobody,” Lotee said
He stated that over 200 heads of cattle have been killed by military and when members of public complained, some are arrested
He disclosed that they had even visited President William Ruto who promised to address the menace through security Cabinet Secretary
“What’s hurting us most is that Prof Kithure is not willing to sit with us. When marakwet burnt military vehicle nothing was done,” poured his anger
