  • Veronica has been pushing her brother in vain to refund the monies he received from her while in Iraq in 2017-19
  • Despite her persistence for the last three years, her efforts has born no fruits as she wanted to use the money constructively
  • Her brother, who is eyeing Laikipia West Parliamentary seat, alludes that his sister, demands for help instead while abroad

Laikipia County Constituents have bursted the internet demanding one of Laikipia West Parliamentary aspirant John Karanja Waithira comes to terms with his family members

According to photos doing rounds on social media platforms, is that John Karanja, received a total of Sh 270,000 from her sister by then in Iraq, between the year 2017 to 2019 to save for her, for future developments but that never materialised

“I loved you like a brother you were to me, I respected you like a father I never had….but you have decided to make me cry enough.

What did I do wrong by trusting you with my sweat,” she cries…pay me my money please…..I am passing  through hell in Saudi Arabia and you are there eating my money….are you truly a human,” She asks posting on a Facebook page

Veronica Wanjiru Waithira, a bitter younger sister to Karanja, takes all to social media, the tribulations and mental traumas she has undergone in the hands of her real blood-brother from one mother, who seems to be merciless and a notorious chap seeking elective post

“I used to wire bit by a bit through western union to my brother’s account to a tune of Sh 270,000 until when will be in need of the cash, the amount was not inclusive of my kids upkeep, but have tried to push him for more than three  years, yet he’s noncommittal,” Veronicah cried loudly.

However, she admitted that, her brother (Karanja) could give back small bits, amount that can not serve any purpose, upto Sh 100,000, so far, he owes her Sh 170,000, “he has blatantly refused to repay me despite mental anguish we go through in Saudia where am currently working,” She added

The mother of three, revealed to safinews.co.ke, on Tuesday 14th June, that his brother (Karanja) bought a lorry, a piece of land and has more than twenty labourers, yet can’t pay back her Sh 170,000 for the last three years.

“Unaona hii kazi ninafanya huku ya maid, ni kazi ngumu sana, nafanya hii kazi kupata rikizi ya maisha yangu  na watoto wangu,” She says in Swahili

(Can you imagine the kind of tasks we perform in these countries as maids, it’s a slavery job, I am just doing for lack of something to do in my country and for the future lives of my three kids)

She also admits at some point, thought her brother was mindful that she might spend the amount irresponsibly, but that has turned to be a feud in futility while demanding her assets back at the lowest moment in life

“Tangu last two years nimekuwa nikimuitisha pesa zangu hajali ilhali anaendelea kupiga kampeni, nani atamwamini na pesa za umma kama zangu hawezi nirudishia,” Wanjiru said in  Swahili language

(Since last two years, have been demanding my money back, yet he’s busy campaigning, who will entrust him with NG-CDF if can’t be gentleman enough and honour my savings)

Karanja who is running on on a Narc-K ticket, has all latitude to answer the serious allegations ravelled against him by his blood sister or pay her back what she demands before things blows out of his hands

Our investigative desk tried to reach him through WhatsApp messages, he could be seen blue ticking, immediately safinews.co.ke posts a question, after six hours later, he (John Karanja Waithira) neither admitted nor denied the claims levelled against him, instead shared social media replies from his supporters to his sister

The question now pegs, how comes Karanja’s supporters are replying Wanjiru and insulting her now since 2019, minutes after our investigative episodé ?

Could it be, ‘the cliche supporters’ have been paid by their ‘master’ to change the narrative, instead of the ‘suspect’ complying and paying her sister?

The one million dollar questions would be answered well by Laikipia West voters come August 9th General Election.
