Cabinet nominee for the Energy and Petroleum docket Opiyo Wandayi has revealed that his assets are valued at KSh 530 million.
Wandayi appeared before the National Assembly’s vetting committee on Saturday, August 3, where he declared his wealth status for the first time
He revealed that his assets list comprises cash held in bank accounts, real estate investments, farms in Siaya, Narok, Kitengela, and Migori, and residential apartments in Migori and Nairobi.
The Ugunja MP was the second nominee from the opposition to face the vetting process.
Before him was the outgoing ODM Party Chairman, John Mbadi, who was nominated CS for National Treasury and Planning
Mbadi revealed that his networth stood at Sh 380 million
He said that his worth would ideally be KSh 437 million, but KSh 57 million accounted for the liabilities which include parliament mortgage loans, Sacco loans, and a KSh 12 million loan with the KCB bank.
