Operation Linda Jamii have faulted National Dialogue Committee for not including it’s views and that of other civil society organisations as well as religious caucus

In a statement to newsroom on Tuesday 28th November, the lobby stated that they will move to court to challenge any illegalities proposed by the committee

We have learnt that the discussion were exclusively between the Azimio and UDA factions despite many players input, they were specifically involving key figures Raila and Ruto.

Had there been a third party, the ongoing potential rejection could have been moderated by other players,” part of the statement read

Prof Ogola stated that the talks should not be misconstrued as a national dialogue because it does not encapsulate the broader spectrum of political, social and economic voices within the country

“The constitution of the National Dialogue Committee and their technical team was done to deliberately ignore the pain caused by cost of living. This means that the Bipartisan talks was a political process disguised as meant to solve the economic problems called cost of living,” he added

They wondered how there were no economists and representatives from Treasury to help come up with economic formula to solve the cost of living

“We had recommended that before dialogue began, we needed Finance Act to stopped which continues to make the cost of living worse. We presented an economic formula to cure the cost of living but Linda Jamii Solomonic economic formula was neither discussed nor was it considered in the report,” remarked the lobby group’s chair.

The society poked holes into NADCO for agreeing on political positions to share but found it very difficult to agree on what effects Kenyans

The lack of including economic experts to review kenya’s debt, tax and currency is a joke of the day

These teams would have come up with an economic model that would help turn around the Kenyan economy by developing the Kenyan fiscal policy instead of allowing the infiltration of Kenyan fiscal policy by foreign institutions like IMF and world bank

The civil civic group took the time to invite Kenyans to join them in the Linda Jamii peace run slated on 16th December 2023 starting from Kenyatta International Convention Centre [KICC]

The marathon will serve as a platform for national dialogue providing space for citizens to actually participate in shaping the a few course through  nonviolence means

Linda Jamii has also planned a number of community based financial literary and economic empowerment activities targeting mainly the youth and women

We shall be partnering with Jua Kali Sector and cooperatives movements to turn our Jua Kali Sector hubs into college industries that will birth the Kenyan industrial revolution without depending much on the government rather than focus on financial cooperatives which are slowly entering into a vicious cycle of debt
