As the world transforms into a digital economy, entrepreneurs are taking advantage of the already established African digital market and establishing online applications that enable users to make money online while having fun.

In Kenya, there are at least 37.4 million users of smart phones and for this reason, an online gaming company has already penetrated the Kenyan market, making Kenya the third country in Africa, from Ghana and South Africa to have the application launched.

Speaking during the official inauguration of Geddit Kenya, at the Global Trading Center, in Westlands Nairobi, CEO Geddit Gunvald Bikerlund, said it’s an interesting opportunity both for the Kenyan users and Geddit.

He said, the future for Geddit in Kenya will be bright as there is increased growth for mobile gaming, eSports and local game development with an expected gaming market of 2.4 billion dollars in Africa.

“The global gaming industry is projected to surpass $321 billion by 2026, with in-game advertising and gamified marketing playing a key role in this growth.

The surge in eSports, mobile gaming, and gamification is opening vast opportunities for brands to integrate marketing strategies and engage audiences worldwide.” Gunvald said.

Also present during the inauguration was Geddit Ghana representative Jeffter Kwaa who said he has seen the success of the application in Ghana and has called on the youth to embrace this new gaming app adding that Geddit transforms marketing into an interactive and rewarding experience, both for consumers and for businesses.

Consumers, Kwaa said have a more engaging shopping experience with opportunities to access prizes and exclusive rewards, while for businesses, Geddit enhances consumer interaction, providing valuable data insights, and helping drive sales growth.

Also present during the inauguration was Michael Okwiri, CEO Geddit Kenya, who said that Kenya is an ideal market for Geddit’s involvement as the platform provides businesses with a data-driven marketing approach while helping brands engage consumers beyond passive scrolling.
