Mathare Member of Parliament Anthony was on Friday 21st July arrested by plain clothed officers and whisked him away into a in a subaru car
In a statement to newsroom, Azimio fraternity said that, the MP was fuelling his car at Nakumatt Junction along Ngong Road when several subaru cars were spotted around the scene during the arrests
It is reported that the vehicles used Tanzanian number plates which took him to Kiambu Police Station for further interrogations over the charges related to anti government protests witnessed in the country
Mr Philip Etale, Orange Democratic Party Communication Director has confirmed the incident adding that they have launched a search to ascertain the reasons behind lawmaker’s inhumane arrests
He has assured Mathare constituents and other legislators that they will keep updating them on the conditions of their colleague
On the other hand, Milimani Law Court has freed Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, on police cash bail of Sh100,000

The duo alongside 8 others were charged with conspiracy to commit subversive activities
Milimani Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyira had on yesterday directed Owino to be taken to hospital for treatment following the request by his lawyer and family members
The first accused [Owino] will he escorted to hospital for medical attention as others remanded at Kileleshwa Police Station awaiting final determination on Friday 22nd July
