Nurses across the country plans one year strategic move aimed at starving embattled KNUN SG Seth Panyako
Rains started beating when he joined politics through UDA party leaving interests of members and squandering union dues
Do not meddle with the institutions that mentored you to become the person you are today- this is advise to Secretary General of Kenya National Union of Nurses Mr Seth Panyako
The murmuring within the nurses professionals has forced section of them devise new strategies that will culminate in dethroning the latter to walk in a bear nickle man within a one year period or so
The strategies seen by safinews.co.ke outline a one year plan to oust Panyako. Nurses will start by starving Panyako from getting their money through mass withdrawal from the Kenya National Union of Nurses [KNUN].
They say, without the monthly subscriptions , Panyako is politically and finacially impotent and dysfunctional.
They are also planning to review the KNUN Constitution, to give way for free and fair elections, that will technically reduce Panyako to a political oblivion and send him home.
Backing the strategic moves aimed at politically deconstructing Mr Panyako, the former President of National Nurses Association of Kenya, Mr Alfred Obengo, emphasised that, “The enthusiasm with which nurses created a monster out of Panyako, the same nurses will deconstruct him with more enthusiasm. Being in the office for over ten years, without an election, and without any CBA for your members is a disaster and the biggest demonstration of failed leadership from Panyako.”
While speaking to our investigative desk a retired nurse who sought anonymity further added.. “The amount of money nurses gave Panyako without any audit, without any checks and balance, coupled with his character, that what is destroying the nursing profession. That money plus his character is a curse to the profession,” The senior nurse intimated.
This comes barely a few weeks after the aggrieved nurses from the coastal region stormed out of a meeting called by embattled SG, demanding his resignation from KNUN over exploitative and authoritarian leadership style.
They called him out, stating that he stopped representing them after he joined active politics in UDA, where he has also been disowned.
“Separate issues concerning the Malava residents, your unclear position at UDA and nurses’ issues. We don’t know whom you talk on behalf. You also sound confused. Nurses don’t need you anymore,” another nurse from Kericho pointed out.
In a choral and poetic wording by inking, Mr Obengo yet again, berated Panyako as a man who has shamelessly put the Nursing profession in a quagmire and disrepute.
“Panyako cannot call for a strike because he has no following. Panyako cannot negotiate with anyone because no one trusts him. Panyako can only negotiate with the media microphone where he talks to himself. Because the microphone does not know him and can be used by any clown. Beyond the media microphone, Panyako is politically impotent,” Mr Obengo recited.
