The Director of Corporate Communications who is also the National Police Service Spokesperson Mr. Bruno Shioso AIG OGW, today received Inspector Gideon Mwendwa, HSC who has been on a two-year study scholarship in Gujarat, India.
Prior to his study leave, Inspector Gideon Mwendwa worked under the Directorate of Corporate Communications as a Senior Communication officer and the National Police Service Web Administrator.
He graduated with a First Class Hons Master of Science in Digital Forensics and Information security with a Distinction from the National Forensic Sciences University, Gujarat, India
Mwendwa holds another masters in Cyber Security, B.Sc. in Information Technology from Mount Kenya University and a Diploma in Information Communication Technology from Laikipia University.
His other qualifications include; Certified Expert in Cyber Investigations from Defence Cyber School (UK), Certified Ethical Hacker EC-Council, Cybersecurity E-degree, Summer Research Experience in Digital Forensics by Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences, Introduction to Digital Forensics-Florida International University, Leadership for Law Enforcement Supervisors-International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA)-Botswana, Financial Fraud Investigations, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, India.
He has also undergone training in Advanced Cyber Security, Computer Forensics Investigations, Certified Digital Forensics Examiner, Cloud Computing among other trainings and qualifications.
He is also finalist in the 3rd Masters-MA Degree Social Transformation (Governance option) from Tangaza University College.
“IP Mwendwa is rejoining the service with valuable knowledge and skills that continue to enhance our operational capability and skill pool in the service,” Shioso said.
