- David Sankok says President Uhuru Kenyatta went against wishes of the majority of members of Jubilee party
- He says the move by president to appoint Interior CS Fred Matiang’i to run deputy president’s responsibilities was an act of betrayal to the party itself
- But Nyando MP Jared Okello says all political members must be faithful to their political leaders
Jubilee nominated member of parliament David Sankok now says President Uhuru Kenyatta has betrayed all eight million Kenyans who voted for him thrice since 2013 general election
In an interview with citizen television on Wednesday 30th March, Sankok termed President’s move to work with the ODM leader Raila Odinga as an act of betrayal to the very leaders and the people who voted him
“As a nominee 001, I want to urge our President to stop telling lies about his deputy, he should not be cheated by those around him to speak ill against William Ruto,” Sankok advised
He says that President should not have used presidential directives to edge his deputy by nominating someone else to run duties of deputy presidency
“If indeed there was a problems, President should have sought permission of electorates to give another deputy president whom they can work together, maintaining that he’s still loyal to Jubilee party,” He added
Sankok has reiterated the need of President Uhuru Kenyatta to seek political truce with his already estranged deputy party leader who is now the leader for United Democratic Alliance
“This sort of envy made all of us being dewhiped from parliamentary committees without being given opportunity to defend ourselves.
“I was personally removed from the national assembly departmental committee on cohesion and equal opportunities where represented the people with disabilities,” Bitter Sankok revealed
Sankok now says majority of those removed have never healed because they never met fair administrative judgement
However, the Nyando MP Jared Okello told Sankok all members of political parties must comply and adhere to the decisions and directives coming from their party leaders where the latter intervened saying all members should be faithful to the party itself including party leaders
“We should all be loyal to our party leaders, in case of a problems, there are dispute resolution mechanisms which is used to solve internal conflicts,” Okello said
