
The nonprofit badminton corporate social responsibility and youth development tournament that was held last weekend in Nanyuki strategically positioned several brands and leaving behind an impactful milestone as teams and communities promoted their products
The tournament that brought together young athletes, corporate partners, and community stakeholders in a powerful celebration of sport, wellness, and youth empowerment coloured the county as many brands showcased their marketing prowess in a world of competition.
The initiative, implemented through Boom and Thrive Sports Hub, aimed to promote not only competition but also a discipline force, teamwork, leadership, resilience, and healthy lifestyles among young people in addressing addiction and participating in national building programs that are aimed on curbing negative vices in the society.
Organised by Woodchem Traders Company Limited in partnership with Mazingira Recyclers Limited, the tournament attracted approximately 80 players forming eight competitive teams from across the coucount.

The weekend escapade brought together teams including Nanyuki Ironclads, URF Shuttlers, MYSA Thunderbolts, Thika Club, Raptors, Falcons, and Thunders, all showcasing impressive skill and sportsmanship.
In the team event championship, URF Shuttlers from Nairobi secured the overall title after a dominant display throughout the competition.
Thika Club finished second to claim silver, while MYSA Thunderbolts of Nairobi completed the podium in third place.
