Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has requested Kitui  governor Kaluki Ngilu to consider quitting her second gubernatorial race to perform other duties at the national level

Accompanied by Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka in a series of political rallies at Mutha and Mutomo, Raila asked residents to let Ngilu from kitui politics peacefully and elect another governor

“You will know who you will elect between Malombe and Musila but for this Lady, I want your Governor in Nairobi there are so many other things she can do.

She will get enough money to do projects in other sectors whether it’s roads, water or health, you are the one to decide the area you want to be,” Raila said at Mutha Ward in Kitui County

Ngilu was cleared by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission last week to defend her seat but, safinews.co.ke had earlier reported Ngilu’s endorsement to David Musila who is gunning for the position on Jubilee ticket

According to leaders from lower eastern region is that Ngilu would not want Wiper Candidate Julius Malombe to win in his second stab rather than former senator David Musila who is perceived as from old school of administration

This brings to an end the wide speculations as to why Ngilu has always been following Raila Odinga in almost all political rallies across the country, to some instances, Kalonzo Musyoka blaimed her of relocating to Kisumu while she’s a Kitui governor
