Embattled Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has put records straight that he did not complete his degree programme at the University of Nairobi
Although, he hinted that he is contemplating to resume his Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science at the University of Nairobi given a good green card by the university senate
Speaking during an interview on Spice FM on Friday, July 1, Sakaja said that whenever he wants to go back to campus, there has been some setbacks making it difficult for continuation of his programs
“I had issues relating to school fees while in the university hence my name was in the list of students that were to be deregistered by the institution. Since I got money, my efforts to finish about three or four units has always been frustrated by some quarters,” Sakaja claims
He also revealed that the reason as to why he did not finish his degree in actuarial Science at the University of Nairobi is because he used to pay his fees by working in the late President Mwai Kibaki’s campaigns in 2007.
“Upon getting the money to finish my studies, have always been embarrassed to return to school because the institution wanted to remove my name from the deferred students who can discontinue their studies__
I studied actuarial science for four years. There is a document they keep spreading of students who are to be discontinued and it shows you the reason was about fees,”. He added
Additionally, he noted that it is a difficult process as there are a few units that he did not complete arguing that the ceremony is not what confers the knowledge to someone.
“I want to state it clearly that by the time I was able to go back to class, my plans were thwarted,” He noted
