Members of Parliament Hints Removing Ruto’s Cabinet Secretary

Members of National Assembly have already hinted on impeaching Cabinet Secretary for Finance Prof Njuguna Ndung’u over thw release of National Government Constituency Development Fund

Led by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, the legislators have already collected 289 signatures out of 290 members of parliament representing the gazetted 290  constituencies, for a water tight and sounding removal 

This, comes, barely,  after Monday 23rd January, boycotting of MPs at Pride Inn Beach in Shanzu during an induction session, demanding the release of the CDF before they attend the training 

“If he doesn’t release the funds, we will impeach him, we have so collected 289 signatures out of 290 to remove him.

The Government MUST release CDF Money for us to issue BURSARIES to our children.This must be treated as both important and urgent issue.Failure to which we will IMPEACH the CS FINANCE and so far we have collected 289 out of 290 signatures from MPS,” Embakasi East MP Babu Owino Twitted.

Owino said that Prof Njuguna is not ready to disburse the funds and was just hoodwinking them to attend the meeting without clear plans

The MPs lamented that many learners will miss their education for the lack of bursaries which has been very instrumental to brigde the gap between the students from rich families and humble ones

“ We know what it means to lack school fees, most of these members are here because they were helped to study, we have to help; we are servants of the people and we will serve. This meeting will stop until money is put in our accounts,” They added.

The legislators demanded Ksh 100 million to be disbursed in their respective constituency accounts as the schools have already been reopened 

The leaders said that the financial year is almost gone and there was nothing for them to use to help the constituents and specifically those who depended much on the CDF kitty 

“I cannot return students to school with SMSs and we do not want stories. We are going to remain firm on this until money is released. The financial year has gone away by seven months and currently, we are in the eight month of the financial year, we can’t advertise and give money in the last quota of the financial year,” the lawmakers pointed
