
Mawathe dares Government to attempt demolishing houses in slums under the guise of paving way for riparian areas more than 15 metres requirement
Embakasi South Member of Parliament Musili Mawathe has condemned with the strongest terms possible the continuous demolitions of houses by the state machinery particularly in the slum’s dwellers at Mukuru kwa Njenga, Kware and Mathare without showing any remorse
In an exclusive interview with Safi News on Friday 14th March, Mawathe dared state machinery to attempt demolishing houses built within Mukuru Kwa Njenga, Kware, Kibra and Mathare for they shall face the wrath of the people on ground

Mawathe stated that he will not allow retirees and his dwellers be grabbed off their land promising to help them protect what belongs to them
‘’Wewe unayechangia kumuibia huyo mzee shamba lake ambaye alidhulumiwa na halmshauri ya reli, unataka tena kuchukua haki yake, wewe siku moja katastaafu na utakiona manake tuko hapa Kenya,’’ Mawathe reiterated
