Matiang’i Outlines Jubilee’s Achievements

The outgoing Interior and Coordination of National Government, Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i has lauded the outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta for job well done in his ten year tenure 

In his moving statement on Friday 9th September, Matiang’i reminded noisers to look on the positive side of what President has done as he exits from State House on Tuesday, 13th September, 2022

According to Matiang’i, many infrastructural projects, roads and water projects as well  curbing of terrorism extremism has been achieved during his reign as the fourth President of the Republic of Kenya 

Throughout his command, the country curbed Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), adolescent pregnancies, and violence against women, according to the outgoing CS. Reducing occurrences of terrorism, violent extremism, and organized crime were also mentioned in his letter.

Matiang’i outlined his successes in a letter dated Friday, September 9, ranging from orchestrating the Form One interim resolution to restructuring social service access through Huduma Centers in various parts of the country to pioneering changes in the country’s transportation system in collaboration with the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).

“Despite the tremendous opprobrium, disdain, and baseless allegations of plotting to subvert and impede with the General Election, our sector delivered a phenomenal and professional performance in assisting the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in conducting the General Election.

“The recently completed Presidential court cases and the resulting ruling did not admonish our enormous team across the country of any malfeasance, which affirms our collective competence and due diligence to obligation,” he added. 

He also said that his finding of guilt that those entrusted with the responsibility of facilitating the smooth transition to the next government will demonstrate similar professionalism.

The former Education Secretary also thanked his compatriots, particularly Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho, for their support throughout his tenure.

“It has been five years and one month of an exhilarating tour of duty and joyful service to our dear nation under His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta’s wonderful leadership.
