Ex -CS Penina Malonza, speaking during the luncheon at her home in Mutha Ward, Kitui Constituency, on 1st September, 2024. Ex-Minister for EAC, ASALs & Regional Development Penina Malonza has declared war on already self-declared Chief Opposition who is the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Ukambani Kingpin

Speaking at her backyard in Kitui South Constituency during the luncheon ceremony which had attracted over one thousand supporters from Kitui County, Malonza tossed jibes at Musyoka leadership style questioning his development record and job opportunities he secured for his people when he was in government.

“I hear he (Kalonzo) is in Mombasa declaring himself as Chief Opposition leader, he should join the government because he can’t deliver anything. I am the new leader of Operation Okoa Ukambani.

He was a Minister for Tourism like I was. He didn’t see it as important to have a Kasaala Game Researve Gate for Kitui County. He knew Makueni and Taita had gates. I brought you rice, did you see it then? “Penina said.

The former CS also declared war on the Wiper Party adding, “Tutapambana, if I hear Wiper in Kitui south it will be entanglement. You would rather start a party and enlist it to the broad-based government.”

Penina also threw a swipe at Kalonzo for declaring himself as the opposition leader claiming that he was misleading the Kamba community and that the position as per the constitution belonged to Junet Mohammed.

She added that it is time for the community to join government after being in the opposition for 15 years terming herself the Deborah who will take the community forward.

“As Kalonzo is in Mombasa speaking about the opposition, I am here as your Deborah to take you forward. Where I am no one can manage to stand there.” Penina went on.

“Will we keep being in opposition now it’s 15 years, When we are trying to enter government others are pulling us back to the opposition. The opposition leader is a borrowed name, the opposition is led by Junet Mohammed as per the constitution. Someone is claiming to be an opposition leader and has called Kambas, won’t you ever give birth to children who can become leaders?” She added.

Additionally, Malonza challenged the government to investigate him stating that she has not stolen any single coin for the twenty months she has served in two ministries
