Wiper Democratic Movement Party gubernatorial candidate Julius Malombe has said his government will play a key role in delivering vital services

Speaking at Ikanga, Kitui South constituency on Saturday 18th June, Malombe said his key development will include developing local economies, giving communities a voice through robust public participation and helping them shape the environment within which they live.

Dr. Malombe said that real transformation of lives, real resource sharing and real engagement of residents will be evident once he assumes office in August.

While calling on residents to elect him on 9. august, Dr. Malombe highlighted improved healthcare, water provision, improved feeder roads and supported pre-primary education, reinstate kazi kwa vijana, empowering youths via skills development and equipping of training facilities as some of the areas he’ll invest in heavily to better the lives of Kitui people.

Thousands of area residents showed up for the meeting to listen to his development plan for the county.

Dr. Malombe said that roads and water connectivity will be one of the key pillars of his administration.

The pioneer Kitui governor seeking his second term promised to construct a connecting bridge at Ngunga river to link Mbitini and Ikanga.

He also committed to develop the Yaathi health centre a level 3 facility once elected.
