Kitui Governor-Elect Dr Julius Makau Malombe has thanked Wiper Democratic Movement Party Leader H.E. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for the opportunity to be the party’s flag bearer in the recently concluded election.
In his opening remarks after receiving the winning certificate from electoral body on Friday 12th August at Kitui multipurpose social hall, Malombe acknowledged the two Azimio’s premier
“My appreciation goes to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to be our party’s flagbearer for the time, One Kenya Alliance Presidential Flagbearer, The Right Honourable Raila Amollo Odinga for his continued support and endorsement of my gubernatorial bid,” Malombe remarks
The pioneer governor promised to unveil plans that will completely reclaim and transform the face of Kitui County in the next one hundred days
In his well-calculated maiden speech receiving the winning certificate from electoral body at Multipurpose Social Hall in Kitui town, Malombe thanked God for the win granting victory to his late wife Edith Malombe
“I thank the almighty God for this win. His unconditional grace, mercy and providence have made it possible.
I also wish to acknowledge my family for their unwavering support during the campaign period and in the run up to the August 9th 2022 election.
In particular, I dedicate this win to my late wife Mrs Edith Mawia Malombe. She stood by me unconditionally throughout my political career. Her love for Kitui’s people was unmatched,” Malombe disclosed
He sincerely sent gratitude to the people of Kitui for fighting hard to his victory which had been fought by his worthy competitors and the outgoing administration
“Without the people of Kitui, the overwhelming mandate to lead our great county would not have been realised.
I thank my campaign and ward committees, and supporters for their tireless efforts, prayers and resources that ensured that my bid to be the duly elected Governor of Kitui County was successful,” He added
Mr Malombe, now assures electorates that hard work is expected to begin very soon under his leadership committing to serve all the people of Kitui indiscriminately and towards equitable development throughout the county
“In that regard, I am ready to work with all stakeholders at county and national levels for the betterment of the lives of our people,” He concluded
