Malala demands Murkomen, Kuria’s resignation over political engagements

The ensued fight within the ruling party has elicited mixed reactions with Secretary General Cleophas Malala shooting a warning shot over those misbehaving and uttering derogatory remarks over the other party members

In his speech, Malala told Transport and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and his counterpart Public Service, Management and Performance Delivery to resign honorary if they wish to continue engaging in politics over serving Kenyans

Murkomen and Kuria are accused of perpetrating social media politics where each party is accusing the other over choreographed regional schemes to edge Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua from 2027 political matrix 

In a fierce response, Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga threatened to Mr Malala from his acting capacity should he continue attacking leaders who are believed to be fueling disunity between President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua

Malala had sought misbehaving leaders including Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi, Gichungu’s Gathoni Wamuchomba and Kahinga to stop fuelling bad blood between the two leaders lest they resign from public service to politics 

Kahiga said that they will continue defending DP as their region’s kingpin and whoever is attempting to scare shall be dealt 2with accordingly during the nearing party [UDA] elections
