Section of Aspirants in Laikipia County who lost to their competitors in past General Elections have urged Governor Joshua Irungu to consider them in the county nominations and appointments
Speaking to safinews.co.ke on Tuesday 8th November, former Thingithu ward aspirant George Ndung’u who lost to incumbent MCA accused Irungu for sidelining them in favour of newcomers
“Our county government haitaki kutu consider as leaders (county government has refused to consider us (aspirants) in ministerial appointments and boards). We can’t keep quiet I’m telling you,” exploded Ndung’u
He further blamed the current government on health matters citing the looming white elephant in the room in the public health facilities
This, he said, there has been tendency of compelling patients to update their cards with Ksh 50 whenever they visit the public hospital, listing (Nanyuki Teaching and Referral)-which expires after every twenty four hours
“The scheme is shrouded by showdy scam, if patients are covered by National Hospital Insurance Fund and other insurances, how comes, you have to cough with Ksh 50 everyday you seeking the medical services,” Another leader who sought anonymity told safinews.co.ke
Ndung’u on his part said they can’t afford to pay cash instead of using technology which is the current mode of all monetary transactions
“ We are also blaming the current government on health matters. Level 5 hospital in Nanyuki we can’t afford to pay cash at hand while cashless is the digital technology used everywhere nowadays,” He added.
