Kitui WIPER gubernatorial candidate Dr Malombe has promised to train more contractors in the county once elected into office in August.
Speaking at Kakumuti market of Mutonguni ward earlier today, Dr. Malombe said those trained will get capacity to start companies and access tenders from the county government and improve their livelihoods.
This, he says, will supplement the 2,000 contractors trained during his stint as the pioneer governor and guarantee more residents are empowered to employ themselves as local contractors among others.
Dr. Malombe further said his government will focus on service delivery in among others healthcare, water sector, roads infrastructure and youth skills trainings.
