The Kitui Committee on Appointments chaired by the County Assembly Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya has this evening concluded the vetting exercise for 10 CECM nominees.
The last nominee to appear before the committee was Mr. Fredrick Kisong’e Kimanga, CECM nominee for Lands, Housing, and Urban Development.
Other nominees who appeared before the vetting panel today were;
- Mrs. Ruth Koki Mwanzia, CECM nominee for Health and Sanitation.
- Eng. Reuben Mulwa Itiko, CECM nominee for Roads, Public Works, and Transport.
- Mrs. Joyce Kasyoka Masila, CECM nominee for Education, Training, and Skills Development.
- Mr. Perter Peter Nkunda, CECM nominee for Water and Irrigation.
The Committees will retreat to consider and prepare a report to ascertain the suitability for each nominee with appropriate recommendations ahead of next week’s plenary sittings.
Mrs Ruth Koki Mwanzia received accolades from internet users banking on her expertise in health matters and pleading with the county assembly to approve her for the docket she previously held during Governor Malombe’s first regime
Koki, promised to deliver for Musangi and install automated machines for cashless payments of medical bills as well instilling the culture of honesty among health workers
“If this house approves me, I am cognizant to the fact that our health facilities are not upto the recommended standards and will do my best to restore sanity and equip them with pharmaceuticals and non pharmaceuticals drugs,” She underscored
She acknowledged the fact of dilapidated status for Kitui county health facilities and promised to modernise them once approved
