Malombe set to complete all stalled projects

Kitui County Governor Dr Julius Malombe has laid down the priority programmes to be undertaken in the first one hundred days in office as he pledged during campaign trial

Speaking at Ithookwe Showground on Monday 12th while he met all county staffs, Malombe ordered stock checking of all county vehicles and equipments to receive the report by  31st, September 2022

“We shall complete incomplete and abandoned projects including ECDE classrooms, all ward administrators offices, maintenance of dysfunctional  boreholes within kitui county and kangu kangu water projects in Kitui South 

Formulation of County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) most of our plans will be incorporated in that official document. Drugs and non pharmaceutical items will be provided,” Malombe inked

On matters food security; His Excellency the Governor said that each ministry has indicated the areas to deal with in addressing food security and equipping farmers with the necessary inputs 

He said that his administration has inherited pending bills from previous one amounting to Ksh 1.8 b as per the controller of budget

However, Malombe said that he has already ordered county technical committee to relook at the indebted goods and services that were rendered by the suppliers and contracters so that can be paid promptly

The Governor also said youths and all other aged groups will be accommodated under the kazi kwa vijana programme so long they can perform different duties in their respective markets and shopping centres 

“We shall not even chase away hawkers and mama mbogas in our pavements areas or at vantage points but instead we shall improve and make their working environment descent for they earn a living through their hustle.

Ws shall wave the revenues for traders and business people for a maximum of six months,” He added

Malombe also promised to deliver his opponents David Musila’s request to construct mortuary at Thitani shopping centre in honour of ATG Bishop Apostle Francis Musili’s Father’s Fredrick Mwendwa Ngula
