Kitui County continues to release the provisional results for the six elective posts as Wiper Democratic Party bags majority of the positions 

In a very tight rope on national level where UDA’s Presidential Candidate William Ruto is ahead of Azimio’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga, in Kitui things are different 

Raila Odinga is leading against Ruto despite the failure of KIEMs kitty on yesterday in some parts Kitui County polling stations 

Wiper Gubernatorial Candidate Julius Malombe is leading  while senatorial position is led by the incumbent Enock Wambua Kiio 

Kitui Central Member of Parliament David Makali retained his seat with 31,754 votes , humiliating journalist Boniface Musambi of UDA with 9702 votes cast 

Kitui West MP Edith Vethi Nyenze -wiper got 18,000 followed by Ben Muasya -UDA 7490, Ben Mbai 6094, Sammy Ngangi 3042 and Dennis Muli 915

Provisional results for Kitui south Mp Rachael Kaki got 22,000 followed by ODM’s and Ngilu’s proxy Onesmus Mumo king with 9,000 votes 

 Charles Nguna of Wiper Party from Mwingi West maintained his seat garnering 19,990, Patrick Musau 7,085 and Alex Wambua 2,918

Provisional Results for Kitui East constituency despite intimidation and an attempted abduction of IEBC’s Returning Officer, incumbent MP Nimrod Mbai of UDA smartly edged his worthy competitor with 21,129 votes against Kitute’s 11,183

Former Member of Parliament Mutua Muluvi got 1,919, Mulaimu 1,809, Muthusi 459 and others 521

Provisional results for Mulango ward in Kitui central Peter Mwanza 2,307 and Stephen Kasolo -1,500

Out of 193 polling stations, 177 had already submitted to the county returning officer Mr Gichichi Macharia
