Residents of Ndetani Village in water-scarce Endau/Malalani Ward, Kitui East Sub-County, are a happy lot following commissioning of ILIMIKUYU WATER PROJECT in December last year.
The project will cost Sh. 86 Million and is expected to serve over 15,000 households, Endau Market and thousands of Livestock, – jointly implemented by Kitui County Government in partnership with Water Sector Trust Fund (WSTF).
Kitui Minister for Water and Irrigation Peter Nkunda presided over the launch of ILIMIKUYU PHASE 2 WATER PROJECT that had stalled.
The CECM said the county will solarize Katumbi borehole, which is diesel powered to relieve the residents from the high operation costs and repair the Koi borehole to provide the residents with adequate water for use.
