Earlier today safinews.co.ke, had reported that Deputy President William Ruto would pick Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru as his running mate
This was anticipated after reliable sources hinted to Safi News, that Waiguru was best placed to woo women voters and larger Mt Kenya region
But after intense meeting at DP’s official residence at Karen, Waiguru alongside other four possible running mates who were lined up left
The long awaited announcement was to come at 10am, it was pushed to 1PM then 3PM, later at 5PM, nothing had happened at the much awaited room
Sources privy to the happenings indicated that, Ruto was left with Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki and Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua
The two are lobbying, expressing their loyalty to DP should anything goes wrong, weighing in promises from UDA leader and answering inquisitive questions
The seat becomes hot against the back in which DP had assured whole country that choosing of running mate is the easiest job under United Democratic Alliance
Reports acquainted safinews.co.ke, that a firm go-getter and loyal rooter, Gachagua is said to have asked Kenya Kwanza to requite his support by endorsing his interest in the deputy president seat.
