Itumbi confirms Gachagua was removed from Ruto’s WhatsApp Group

The Head of Creative Economy in the president’s office clarified why Rigathi Gachagua was removed from President William Ruto’s WhatsApp group.

 Itumbi asserted that the deputy president was not the only one removed from the group, as William Ruto was the first to be removed.

This followed Gachagua citing his removal from the president’s group as the reason he missed Ruto’s events

The newly appointed head of creative economy in the President William Ruto’s office Dennis Itumbi has confirmed that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was removed from Ruto’s WhatsApp Group 

In a statement obtained by safinews.co.ke, Itumbi explained that Gachagua and everyone else were removed from William Ruto’s Diary group 

He added that Ruto was the first person to be removed from the group. While explaining why people were being removed from the group, he said that the group was deleted. 

“Yes, the Diary group was deleted. What DP @rigathi fails to mention is that the President was removed even before him, and The group was permanent DELETED due to the highly classified documents being shared in WhatsApp groups.

A security decision was also made that no other group would be formed on the DIARY.,” Dennis Itumbi’s statement read in part.

According to Gachagua the Group had all the President William Ruto’s diary that would allow him get notified of the events the President is attending and also help him align his programs with those of his boss

Since the ejection, the Second in Command has been conspicuously missing in some of the key events the Head of State is attending

Itumbi further stated that a security decision was made that no other group would be formed on the president’s diary 

Itumbi’s statement comes after Gachagua opened up on why he’s recently missed presidential functions. 

Gachagua revealed he was unexpectedly removed from Ruto’s WhatsApp group of the president’s official diary. He noted that being excluded from the group has made keeping track of the president’s engagements challenging.

The Second in Command, declared that he would only attend meetings he has been invited to, as he no longer has regular information on Ruto’s itinerary.

Gachagua disclosed that he, his private Secretary and Chief of staff had been denied access into President’s dairy and removed from latter WhatsApp groups
