Incoming Senator Kijana Stephen Kyalo Musango Makonge has called on faithfuls to pray for the country and all leaders to have a peaceful, fair and credible elections
Addressing the media after ordination of catholic priests and deacons of Kitui Diocese lead by Bishop Joseph Maluki Mwongela, Musango urged everyone to observe peace during this electioneering period
“As Christian we need to provide a helping hand to the hunger and famine affecting ravaged Arid areas as we pray for stability in our beloved nation.
I am also requesting that the catholic faithfuls intercedes for me with a 9 day Novena, with special intentions for an election victory,” Stephen Musango Makonge requested
Having been educated at St Joseph’s seminary-Mwingi, Senator Musango said that as a Student of Bishop Mwongela, there is urge for the faithfuls to tap on long lasting lessons of faithfulness and stewardship he got from the teaching there.
The ceremony was held in Kitui town central St Michael school of the deaf where it was attended by over 3000 faithfuls from all parishes in Kitui Diocese.
He further congratulated the newly ordained Priests and wished them well in their vocation as good shepherds.
