The Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki has defended the redeployment of 1000 police officers to Haiti for peace building mission

“We have other countries including Cuba, Chile, Imelda and Paraguay who will also joining Kenyan troops to restore peace in hitherto country that has assassinated four of his elected Presidents,” Kithure disclosed

Members of Parliament had put spirited fight demanding the withdraw of the planned mission fearing that the process was hurriedly and unprocedurally done

The CS told the committee that they halted the redeployment to allow the backup of the legal framework from the united nations security council as well as country’s national security council that will guide the entire redeployment process

On his part, Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome who had been branded by legislators of fearing to face them, cracked their ribs by adding that, officers who had been selected to take part in the mission are so much eager to be part of the liberating mission abroad
