The Independent, Electoral and Boundaries Commission has come out upholding Smartmatic International Holdings, B.V confirming that the transactions with company was unquestionable.

In a statement dated on July 26, the Wafula Chebukati led commission detailed that Smartmatic International defeated other five firms and won the lucrative contract in the year 2021

Chebukati, who has been trending bulbs with the other authorities and kenyans, demanding him to resign forthwith, further shielded the involvement of the Kenyan firm Seamless Company.

In order to safeguard Abdulahi Abdi Mohamed who was mentioned under Seamless Limited, Chebukati stated that they are working with the Dutch company to provide critical technology needed during the August 9th General Election

“Some of mandatory conditions which were spelt out in the procurement document was that the procurer or bidder should provide a detailed support and maintenance plan and attach documentary proof of ICT technical support staff with a local registered office in Kenya. Smartmatic complied with this condition by providing a local partner in the country,” IEBC statement read in part

In a very detailed and systematic answers which seems to have been prepared by the legal team and proofread, Chebukati also came on justification of the election materials transported by the men Venezuelan nationals

According to the IEBC Chairman, who has endured pressure from Kenyans demanding him to resign, said the arrival of materials seized at the airport, including stickers; arrested at JKIA, were part of the attachments

“For easy identification of the KIEMS kits, Smartmatic is required to provide stickers to aid in labeling each of the kits for purposes of packaging and dispatch to all polling stations. The deployment of the KIEMS kits is currently under way accross the country

However, stickers are non-strategic election materials. The stickers were printed based on the details of the gazette notice published on July 1 2022,” IEBC explained.

On his side, IEBC CEO Marjan Hussein Marjan said that in the case of KIEMS failure, the poll officials will use the alphanumerical data entry using voter’s ID card to ascertain whether such is a duly registered voter of the respective polling station

But according to sleuths is that, IEBC is not living on honesty and the basis of the provisions of the simple laws

Kinoti led team has maintained there are  many mishaps which would be construed as the concerted mission to bungle up the forthcoming general election
