- Former President Uhuru Kenyatta tells President William Ruto to stop attacking his family members
- He told the government to arrest him instead of harassing his children and his mother
- Police invaded Uhuru’s Son’s house at Karen to probe the possession of illegal firearms
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has accused Kenya Kwanza Administration for interfering with his personal life and attacking his son’s house at Karen Estate
Speaking to journalists at Karen this evening, Uhuru has told his adversaries to table any evidence that he has been sponsoring or participating in anti government protests
“If you have a problem, sema shida iko wapi… Do you have to go and look for my mother? Do you have to go and look for my children? Come for me, I’m here!
Have you seen me participating in those rallies? Have you seen me funding youths to demonstrate? Have you seen me holding placards in the streets to demand the cost of living to be addressed? – Former President Uhuru Kenyatta asked angrily
The former retired President, underlined that he will do everything humanly possible to defend his family and will not allow his family members be harassed and tortured
“Being quite does not mean that I will not defend my family! I defended all Kenyans when I was President and can’t fail to defend my own family
I will do whatever I can to defend my family, I mean you can not ambush or raid my children and my family members in an inhumane way, we are civilised country and can allow such anarchy to prevail,” He warned
He added that the current government has intelligence on all his missions whenever he is in Ethiopia or Democratic Republic of Congo on peace mission and nothing he does under the carpet
“Instead of them going around talking in the rallies, funerals and on high end vehicles why can’t they table evidence and come arrest me if am doing anything warranting criminality.
My friend, let this government fix the issues forcing kenyans to hold countrywide demonstrations and stop applying diversionary tactics,” He fumed
On matters United Democratic Alliance party [UDA] interfering with the internal wrangles with his Jubilee Party as the reason for attacks, Uhuru said that should squarely be left alone
“I have always been ready to surrender the party leadership but what made me to intervene is because this administration wanted to bulldoze me and hand over to their puppets.
In a democratic country party affairs should be left to be handled by the members not some veto power from the executive.
I said even before that they wanted to take our party by force instead of allowing democracy to take effect,” Uhuru maintained his earlier position on the party wrangles
Police had disappeared after raiding his son’s home to confiscate his firearms.
They were reported to have entered the gates with a contingent of police officers using vehicles with Sudanese number plates but disappeared immediately when Kenyatta ordered them to wait him at the gate
However, Kenyatta refuted claims that his sons Jomo Kenyatta and Muhoho Kenyatta had illegal guns clarifying the duo has only three guns each, where the first born applied after his security was withdrawn by current regime
According to their father, his daughter Ngina Kenyatta has never been interested with owning a gun and therefore she don’t have any
The turn of events have been confirmed by Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure that police are carrying out intensive exercise to repossess firearms believed to have been used during anti-government protests to kill innocent Kenyans
