Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti condoled with the family

Mumbuni North Member of County Assembly Gedion Kavuu died at a Machakos Hospital on Saturday.

The legislator was among the leaders who attended the eighth National Devolution Conference in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu.

His demise was announced by the facility’s management shortly after he was rushed for medication by one of his relatives.

Several leaders including the deceased’s colleagues visited the hospital to condole with his family members.

The late Kavuu was elected on the Maendeleo Chap Chap party in the August 9, 2022 elections.

“Fare thee well mheshimiwa Gideon Saul Kavuu. I am sad to announce the passing of Maendeleo Chap Chap party MCA of Mumbuni North who died on Saturday afternoon,” Foreign Affairs CS Alfred Mutua said.

What a loss of a humble and dedicated leader. My condolences to his family, Governor Wavinya Ndeti, his colleagues, and his people of Mumbuni North and Machakos.” 

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti said she was saddened by the MCA’s demise.

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Gideon Saul Kavuu, the Mumbuni North MCA. When I got the sad news I joined the family of the deceased at the hospital where I spent some time with the widow, Ruth Kamene, their children and other members of the family,” Wavinya said.

“I spent time with them before heading to the funeral home accompanied by officials from Machakos county government.”

Ndeti described the MCA’s contribution to the assembly as invaluable stating that his presence would be deeply missed.

“My thoughts and prayers are with his family, Machakos County Assembly, the entire community of Mumbuni North and Machakos County at large during this difficult time,” she said.
