Chief Officer Nominee Evans Mutemi for Urban Development

The County Assembly of Kitui on Monday 30th January kicked of vetting of Governor Dr. Julius Malombe’s County Executive Commitee Member nominee and County Officers

First to appear before the County Assembly Speaker Kevin Katisya’s hot seat was the Nominee for Basic Education, Training and Skills Development Joyce Titus alongside the recently named 26 Chief Officers Nominees.

Mrs. Titus was the first to face the Assembly’s Committee on Appointments chaired by Speaker Kevin Kinengo at 8am as she delved on what she knows best in matters Basic Education and Early Childhood Education Development

She promised to deliver Governor Malombe’s manifestoes in constructing ECD classrooms in every village and promoting welfare for the ECDE teachers who have been stagnantly in one cadre 

“Based on a professional line, Mrs Titus Masila is deemed to be fit and she is one of the very honest nominees as matters pertaining service delivery to musangi,”  Zombe/Mwitika MCA Malinga Munyao observed 

Meanwhile, four chief officer nominees were vetted simultaneously by the respective Assembly’s sectoral committees during the early morning sessions.

CO nominee for Governor’s Service Delivery Unit and Public Communication Kamunda John faced the Administration and Coordination of County Affairs committee while her counterpart for Economic Planning and Budgeting Patrick Masila Munuve was vetted by the Finance and Economic Planning committee.

Committee on Lands, Infrastructure and Urban Development vetted Peter Ketonya Musya, the nominee for Transport and Bodaboda Sector, with CO pick for Water Nathan Kasamba Vungo facing the Committee on Agriculture, Water and Irrigation.
