Uhuru Park Grounds was full to the capacity as the much anticipated Wiper National Delegates Conference took place, in pomp and color, opposition leaders showcasing their political spine and magnanimity on Kenya’s issues over their adversaries.

With Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka being crowned by other opposition leaders as the most suitable candidate to battle with the sitting President William Ruto, showed their game would strategically work for what the term as impossible in African political contests
Kalonzo, was formally presented with the nomination certificate during that colourful NDC, with thousands of Kenyans attending to see the next possibilities over impossibilities.
Kalonzo took the stage after being endorsed as presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, marking a key milestone in the party’s renewed political journey
The event drew thousands of delegates and a host of top opposition leaders.
In attendance were DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, PLP leader Martha Karua, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, and former National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi
Accepting the nomination, Kalonzo expressed gratitude to party members and supporters, promising to steer Kenya toward unity, justice, and economic renewal.
“I accept your nomination to be your presidential candidate for the elections scheduled for 2027,” Kalonzo declared amid cheers from the delegates.
“Let me take a moment to thank the almighty God who has been my guide, to my family and extended family in Kirinyaga.” He added.

Kalonzo also thanked his “darling wife, Pauline, who is watching, the mother of our children.”
“You are a vision bearer, you have been amazing, and every day, every moment, you keep on amazing me. May the good Lord grant you the healing we all have been waiting for.”
The NDC also ratified key resolutions, including the party’s rebranding from Wiper Democratic Movement to Wiper Patriotic Front, and endorsed a comprehensive roadmap for grassroots mobilization ahead of 2027 General elections
