Former Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega has declared supporting Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as the Mt Kenya region’s new political kingpin

The Jubilee Party’s newly elected East African Legislative Member of Assembly, Mr Kega who supported the Azimio co-principles retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s dalliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga, has switched off his gear from their party leader to support Mr Gachagua

Kega supported Azimio’s leader, Raila Odinga’s presidential ambitions to become Kenya’s fifth President, where he would be deputized by Narc-K leader Martha Karua with the blessings of Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka’s political ideologies in the just concluded August General Elections

Now, immediately, after he was elected by the overwhelming Members of Parliament to represent Kenya in the East African Legislative Assembly, which sits in Arusha, Kega has moved on to support the new administration led by President William Ruto

He, together with Ndaragua Member of Parliament Jeremiah Kioni, who doubled as Jubilee Party’s Secretary General were, elected by parliament to join other seven members in representing Kenya’s interests in EAC.

  “We are behind Mt Kenya leaders led by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who was supported my bid for the election as Member of EALA, he said.  [Tuko nyuma ya viongozi wa Mt Kenya wakiongozwa na naibu rais Rigathi Gachagua ambaye alichangia pakubwa katika kuchaguliwa kwangu niwe mbunge EALA,” alisema Kanini

He has thanked Gachagua for his endearing support to become EALA MP and declared his unequivocal support to the former as the new Mt Kenya Kingpin

However, Mr Kega, said politics has ended and its now the time to focus on working for the country and her interests in East African Community affairs

He lost to Njoroge Wainaina Chieni of United Democratic Alliance, led by President Dr William Ruto
