The residents of Mwingi region have thronged Revelation City at Nguutani Ward to have a word with incoming Kitui Governor Dr Julius Makau Malombe.
Speaking at the function, Malombe assured residents that he will develop more projects once returned to the county helm more than he did in first term
“I want to promise you that will deliver more than my first term, that time exchequer would give us about sh 6 billion
Right now is about sh 12 billion and we can collect about sh 1.5 billion from local revenue collection, that’s a pointer that we shall even initiate more projects in my second term,” Malombe pointed.
However, he urged voters to make sure that they protect the integrity of votes on August from those who have gone to court and other opponents meant to scatter around his victory
The locals are excited to meet the people’s governor who has assured them of his commitment to work for all Kitui county people without discrimination.
Speaker after speaker, the locals praised Malombe for development projects he initiated when he served as the pioneer governor.
They vowed to rally behind him and ensure he captures the seat on August 9, 2022.
The Mwingi residents accused incumbent governor Kaluki Ngilu of being a hopeless failure saying what is visible on ground across the entire county is only the work done by Malombe’s administration.
They cited grading of roads, water projects, functional health facilities, ECDE classrooms among others as the hallmark of Malombe’s administration.
The said, ATG Church-owned-facility is used for contacting special prayers and fasting, conducting weddings, holding national church events and other Godly related functions
