Embu Senator Alexander Munyi Mundigi has boldly declared that the Kenya Kwanza Government is on track to clinch victory in the 2027 general elections, thanks to solid delivery on promises despite a challenging economic inheritance.

Speaking during a fundraiser at the African Inland Church in Embu town, Mundigi praised President William Ruto’s administration for pushing through major development programs even under the weight of a massive public debt.
“Through both the previous and current budgets, Kenya Kwanza has streamlined key sectors and triggered real change across the country,” Mundigi stated.

In a big win for devolution, he revealed that counties are set to receive KSh 415 billion this coming week to fast-track completion of stalled projects and spur local growth.
On healthcare, the senator assured Kenyans that the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHA) is already functional and pledged that any issues will be ironed out. He urged Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale to fast-track necessary adjustments for smooth service delivery.

Mundigi also hailed recent dialogue between government and health workers, which led to increased funding and improved operations in the sector. He gave a thumbs up to the National Employment Authority (NEA) for creating overseas job opportunities for Kenyan youth, a move he said is helping boost the country’s economy.
Turning to education, he lauded the government’s financial support to teachers after successful negotiations, and spotlighted reforms that now allow the elderly to receive their monthly stipends directly via mobile phones, eliminating long, tiring trips to banks.
However, the senator didn’t hold back on recent protests. He cautioned Embu residents against destructive demonstrations, stating that while the right to protest is enshrined, violence and destruction have led to serious losses for local businesses.
“Let’s protest with purpose, not destruction,” he urged.
Mundigi further warned Mount Kenya residents against turning their backs on the government.
“Every other region is working with the Kenya Kwanza Government. If Mount Kenya isolates itself, it risks missing out on development,” he cautioned, calling those advising rebellion “misleaders.”
He also issued a stern message to the protesting Gen Z, “Stop being used by politicians to destroy your own future. Every act of chaos today will cost you tomorrow.”
Senator Mundigi wrapped up by applauding President Ruto for steering the economy toward stability, emphasizing that national unity is key to long-term growth and progress.
