Nominated MP David Sankok’s son has shot himself dead at their home in Ewaso Nyiro, Narok South sub-county.
Memusi Sankok, who is at 15, shot himself using his father’s pistol on Monday afternoon after taking it from a safe in his father’s bathroom.
The younger Sankok was a Form Four student at Kericho High School.
What prompted the boy to take the action has not been established yet and an intensive investigation has already been launched.
The pistol used by the legislator’s son has since been seized by the officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for ballistic assessment.
Confirming the incident, Narok South Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Felix Kisalu said that DCI officers are investigating the incident.
The body of the deceased has since been moved to Narok County Referral Hospital.
According to Kisalu is that the boy had differed with his father after refusing to go back to school last week
It’s reported that he had received school fees from his father who was outside the country on an official trip but got amused to find him still at home yesterday after he landed from foreign countries
