Tourism CS Malonza Hosts Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire

Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage Hon. Peninah Malonza has today hosted Embu Governor Hon. Cecily Mbarire MGH together with a delegation from Embu County who called on her to discuss various areas of partnership and support in building capacity for the tourism industry in the county.

They discussed several possible areas of collaboration between the County Government of Embu and the ministry. The cs promised to operationalize the memorandum of understanding (MOU) which was signed between the Ministry of Tourism and the Embu county government which will see the Embu game reserve revived and its operations handed over to the county government.

Governor Mbarire who once served the country as an assistant minister in the tourism docket promised to work closely with Cs Malonza to ensure Embu county prospers on matters of tourism.

Ms Malonza pledged full support to the county government of Embu and promised that her ministry will work towards improving the status of all the tourist attraction sites in the county.

Embu County is rich in culture, wildlife, and tourist attraction sites and the cs affirmed her commitment to offering technical support in the diversification of tourism products to encourage high traffic to the county to stimulate economic activity and prosperity of the people of Embu County.
