Police launch manhunt for Uhuru’s close ally

An anti-corruption court in Nairobi had ordered immediate arrest of former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya after he failed to appear in court to testify in Arror and Kimwaror dam corruption scandal 

Magistrate Eunice Nyutu ordered Directorate of Criminal Investigation Officers to arrest and frog match former Meru Governor in court 

Initially, the court had given Munya 90 minutes to present himself in court to testify on what he knows about the scandalous project and he didn’t appear 

Police officers attached to Nairobi area have launched a manhunt to Mr Munya as he did not turn up for court hearing 

Munya who is under investigation had been ordered to appear in court at 11:15am to testify in the Sh65 billion Arror and Kimwarer dam scandal against former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich

“I order Munya to present himself in court at 11:15am. His warrant of arrest still stands,” Magistrate Nyutu ordered

While appearing before the court investigating officer Douglas Chege disclosed that the DCI bosses were unable to effect the previous warrant of arrest because Munya was no where to be found
