Raila Demands Permanent Stoppage of Finance Act, 2023

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition’s Leader Raila Odinga on Monday 10th July surprised Kenyans as walk to board a Matatu to Nairobi’s Central Business District

Raila, who walked from his Karen home to a nearby public service vehicle stage, shocked pedestrians as well as commuters 

At the stage, he stood for a while listening views from commuters who were at waybar waiting for the Matatu to drive them to Nairobi 

He listened carefully before matatu came, kenyans got an opportunity to interact with the head of opposition party as well airing their grievances ans frustrations to the current regime 

Commuters could be heard saying that the cost of living has demotivated them and others asking how will they survive with their children at this economy 

“Baba kazini tunalipwa 500 kwa siku, saa hii fare imepanda tunalipa 300 kwenda na kurudi, mahali natoka lazima nichukue boda ya 70 ju ya wakora, nikila lunch 100 nabaki na 30 bob na niko na watoto watano kwa nyuma. Niambie nitafanya aje? One of the passenger asked weeping.

Others were heard telling Azimio leader that life has become unbearable and they are waiting at nothing than what he will direct them to do to resuscitate the worst situation 

Raila was offered a lunch by a group women identified as mama tractors before he proceeded to pay a tribute to the freedom fighters Tom Mboya and Dedan Kimathi at their respective monuments 

He would later address thousands of passers-by and the crowd as well as hundreds of people standing on different storey buildings watching and listening his articulation over the current administration 

Raila on behalf of other opposition leaders thereby urged Kenyans and their followers to come out in large numbers on Wednesday 12th July as they match yet again in another peaceful demonstrations countrywide to demand the President William Ruto abandon the Finance Act, 2023

“I want you to join us on Wednesday, we shall not relent, we shall not fear, we have to tell this administration that we the people are tired and the finance act must be done away with. 

We want servers to be opened to recount the presidential votes as well as  constituting electoral body; Independent, Electoral and Boundaries Commission [IEBC],” He demanded 

But, Raila’s today’s triumphant entry to Nairobi CBD has been defined as senting a strong indictment to the government and police as their involvement has always been leaving stains of blood as opposed to today’s
