- General public notified to scrutinise carefully before accepting admission from any institution purporting to be of higher learning
The Commission for University Education has marked off 13 institutions within the country offering illegal disciplines
The Commission [CUE] on Tuesday, June 27, highlighted 13 institutions that it alleged were providing degree, postgraduate, and diploma programs without having been granted permission to do so.
The commission issued a warning to the public in a notice, indicating that the educational institutions were not permitted to provide the specific courses.
Members of the public are hereby being notified that any institution purporting to offer university education in Kenya and does not appear in this list is an illegal entity and is not authorised to operate,” CUE’s statement warned
Some of the programmes offered by the institutions iinstitutions include a Bachelor of Arts Degree [BA] in Theology, Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology and a Bachelor of Theology, Masters of Christian Leadership and others
CUE also listed all approved institutions in the country, including their year of establishment and accreditation
