Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka was recently endorsed by elders from the defunct and new rebranded acronym; Gikuyu, Embu, Meru and Akamba association [GEMA] to become the Kenya’s sixth President
The representatives who were drawn from the ten counties in a strategic meeting aimed at fostering unity and collaboration among the counties, discussed about the many issues among them the current political turmoil with its end results
The meeting which took place at Methodist Resort in Nairobi, signaled a collective intention to strengthen regional alliances ahead of the next general election.
With Kalonzo Musyoka positioning himself as the best suitable Presidential candidate to be backed by all regions comprising of GEMA people, which shares common traditional customs and believes, the discussion centered around the need for unified support, signaling a new shift in Ukambani and GEMA relations

The Kitui delegation was led by former minister and ex-Speaker George Ndoto, who expressed optimism and hopes on Kalonzo, emphasizing the unity of all the regions should they wish to produce the next President.
Alongside Ndoto, there were notable figures including Machakos County Chief Executive Committee Members for Health David Yumbya, Professor Muluvi, Campbel Munyambu from Kitui Professionals-highlighting the Ukambani’s aspirations with those of GEMA counties
The call for mutual support resonated fully, marking a significant moment in the political landscape as leaders from different backgrounds showed a commitment to a shared cause.
The inclusion of Akamba Community in the GEMA association whose political contributions have been largely sidelined in decades, marked a new political path, which has all signs, to threaten the current regime, owing of their massive voters if goes to one bucket
