Embakasi East lawmaker Babu Owino now declares that he cannot and wouldn’t accept any position if at all is nominated or appointed by President William Ruto’s administration

While castigating the nominations of four ODM luminaries to the powerful positions of CSs, Babu disclosed that if he was one of the four ODM leaders whom have been nominated to CS position, he could have turned the offer down

He alluded that working with the Kenya Kwanza Government is digging your own political grave something which he can’t afford as a young and aspiring leader with so many ambitions to lead the country in a best way

On whether he will accept set leadership positions for the minority side, boastfully noted that he’s now overqualified to become National Assembly Public Accounts Committee which was Chaired by Nominated Cabinet Secretary for Treasury and National Planning John Mbadi

“I wanted to become Chair for the PAC in my first term actually immediately after was elected. I have a Doctorate Degree and another Honourable Degree so am overqualified to take the position Mbadi held in National Assembly,” Babu stated

The President William Ruto’s favourite nominee for the Treasury and National Planning Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi was the Chair for the National Assembly Public Accounts Committee since 2013, which Babu trashed

On matters bedevilling the country, Babu gave irreducible minimums that President William Ruto would have done before sharing powers to whom he termed self endeared leaders celebrating the nominations without the party’s blessings.

Babu maintained that Kenyans demanded for a competent government, well thought out government positions, well structured, and staffed with public minded, qualified citizens who are committed to the common good

“Kenyans want you to address the rampant looting of public resources not raiding our party. They want you to stop interfering in the running of state departments. Give the bureaucracy space to do what they should do,” Babu added.

The vocal legislator advised that those who are ready to join government shouldn’t drag the names of their party leaders since the so called broad based government is not being formed as per the tenets of basic principles of the constitution

“Before sharing power in a cosmetic overhaul, we demand you to pay families who’ve lost their loved ones Kshs 1 million for funeral expenses they are incurring. Compensate the bereaved families at Kshs 10 million each for the excruciating pain, agony, and suffering you have put them through,” Babu Owino charged.

The most outspoken legislator, branded the four leaders who were handpicked by President as selfish and they don’t reflect regional balance as well as the interests of the party, something which should have been done after Gen-Zs concerns are served.

“Declare a mourning day and hold a National Funeral Service Mass in honour of the patriots who have been killed. Pay all the medical expenses for the young people who have been brutalized by the police upon your instructions. Release all the young Kenyans that have been abducted and held incommunicado,” Babu stated.
