The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition’s team has suspended bipartisan talks for seven days citing dishonest and inconsistent from Kenya Kwanza legislators

Led by Senior Council Otiende Amollo who is one of the co-chairs said on Tuesday 23rd May, that some of President William Ruto’s allies are out of the country and they’ve refused to concede any of their interim measures

“We have had to suspend the bipartisan dialogue after we could not persuade our friends from KK to concede to some interim common sense; namely reducing the cost of unga, preservation of election servers, suspension of IEBC reconstitution and stop meddling with Jubilee Party affairs,” Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna twitted

The opposition said among other issues, those items were necessary in their view in order to safeguard the talks, hoping sense shall prevail

On their take, Kenya Kwanza Co-Chair Senior Council George Murugara said they are ready to resume the talks very soon since there are fundamental issues to do with IEBC that must be constituted before lapse of constitutional timeline
